New arrivals to Palenque this week!
If you're at a loose end why not take a look at our new arrivals?!
First up is our gorgeous Vintage Dragonfly collection. The sterling silver pendant and earrings both feature beautiful dragonfly shapes with stunningly delicate cut out detail. The oxidised finish gives the range a wonderfully vintage look - very Art Nouveau!
For something a bit more simple take a peek at our Celtic Knot range featuring earrings and rings. Made from sterling silver the design features a silver knot at the centre, very Celtic inspired hence the name! This is a classic little collection perfect for everyday wear!
Our Venezia collection features Dichroic glass at the centre of the design. Dichroic glass is glass containing multiple micro-layers of metals or oxides which give the glass dichroic optical properties. The main characteristic of dichroic glass is that it has a particular transmitted color and a completely different reflected color, as certain wavelengths of light either pass through or are reflected. This causes an array of color to be displayed. The colors shift depending on the angle of view. Dichroic glass is an example of thin-film optics.(Thanks to Wikipedia for the explanation!)
You can see from the above image just how vibrant and eye catching our Venezia collection is! The gorgeous mix of blue and green makes such an impact! Every item is unique due to the process it goes through so if you like to stand out from the crowd this is the collection for you!

A fresh look for Spring!
The temperatures are rising, the sun is out and the sky is blue (today at least!) - Spring is on it's way and we're ready for it here at Palenque!
We have some fab new collections to get your Spring off to a great start!
First of all is the beautiful Amelia Rose collection. This gorgeous sterling silver floral design features delicate petal shapes and at the centre is a stunning pearl.
This collection would make perfect Wedding jewellery or alternatively it would be the perfect look for everyday wear, dress it up or down either way this Amelia Rose collection will look divine!
Next up is the Bouquet Ring, another floral design featuring oxidised detailing. Very vintage in style this is a must have ring - it's so pretty!
In-keeping with all thing Flora and Fauna is our wonderful Vintage Dragonfly collection - this very striking range features as you might guess, a silver dragonfly design. Very Art Nouveau inspired, this collection is very elegant featuring very intricate floral cut out detail on the wings and the lovely contrast of oxidised detailing on the silver.
These ranges are part of our Limited Collections and won't be around for long so make sure that you don't miss out on your chance to own some of these beautiful pieces!

Where does the time go?!
Hi everyone,
Same old, same old - how rubbish of me not to keep up with my blog, but seriously where does the time go?! I have all these good intentions but they never seem to happen! Anyway, it's the first of August so being a Yorkshire lass - Happy Yorkshire Day! Never heard of it - neither had I until this morning when Chris Moyles mentioned it on his show! I've just checked on Wikipedia so here's a bit of history, now go and educate yourself!!
Yorkshire Day is celebrated on 1 August to promote the historic English county of Yorkshire. It was celebrated in 1975, by the Yorkshire Ridings Society, initially in Beverley, as "protest movement against the Local Government re-organisation of 1974", The date alludes to the Battle of Minden, and also the anniversary of the emancipation of slaves in the British Empire in 1834, for which a Yorkshire MP, William Wilberforce, had campaigned.[1][2]
Right, now you've learnt something new! Maybe not, but anyway!
Just been checking out the new jewellery trends for Autumn/Winter this morning, seeing what we should be buying for the upcoming seasons, bit of a mixed bag really.

Forties fashion is back in a big way this season and as a result so are pearls!! At Palenque we've always been a bit of a fan of the good old pearl and we've got a fantastic collection for you to look at http://www.palenquejewellery.co.uk/necklaces/pearl.html . Why not experiment with layers of pearls for more of a statement look - might have a go at that today!
Another trend is Star Jewels, we have a good selection in stock at the moment http://www.palenquejewellery.co.uk/catalogsearch/result/index/?p=1&q=star

What a simple way to update your wardrobe and be ahead of the pack!!
What about this simple trend? Long chain and pendants - easy peasy!!

We have a fantastic selection of pendants http://www.palenquejewellery.co.uk/pendants.html stone, pearl, silver, the list goes on!!
Check out our website for loads of other new trends!!
SO, what else have we been up to in the world of Palenque? Well a few weeks ago we had a stall at the Chester Rocks festival followed not long after by Chester Pageant of Power! So July was very much a festival month for us here. Check out our facebook & twitter pages for more info on that!
Back soon!! (Promise :)) xx
